Final presentation here is with Sketchfab.

Sketchfab has a built in model inspector mode located in the lower right corner. It looks like a layers button.

Model is presented with post process effects and an opening / closing animation loop.

Press PLAY button to inspect the model more closely.

The MODEL INSPECTOR button in the lower right corner gives you different viewing options that include isolating materials, showing the wireframe and model next to flattened texture.

STAR TREK COMMUNICATOR - LOW RESOLUTION 3D PROP PIPELINE

I created a high resolution version in ZBrush first and then retopologized it and created UVs in Maya.

Substance Painter was used to bake maps, texture painting and final material design.

The “antennae” (the flippy screen part) material was created with Substance Designer.

The circle screen has a small transparent plane slightly above the main model. When it rotates it creates a moiré effect.

The model has been optimized for lower resolution asset use.
